Wills & Estate Planning

Wills & Estate Planning

Your will is an extremely important document.  It is vital that you get proper legal advice when drafting your will to ensure that it properly reflects your true wishes and intentions, which makes things clearer and easier for your executors and beneficiaries.

We can provide assistance and advice on making your will and ensure it is properly witnessed and executed so that your property is distributed in accordance with your wishes on your death.  We advise on the tax implications of transferring assets to children and other beneficiaries. We can also arrange home visits as required.

Administration of Estates

We also provide advice on the legal process in which an estate is transferred after a person’s death – a process known as ‘Probate’.  We advise on the legal issues related to the administration, management and distribution of an estate and the tax issues which may arise.  We advise executors on their role in the probate process and their duties and obligations to beneficiaries and next of kin.  We ensure the Probate process is dealt with speedily and efficiently. In circumstances where no will has been made we advise family members in relation to extracting Letters of Administrator and the completion of a deceased’s estate.
